Some recent postings by Katrin:

April 10, 2006: Katrin reports: "Niche the baby of the family (just turned 2 last month) did terrific! This was his 3rd trial and 1st trial running in 6 classes a day. He Q'd in 3 classes each day. He now has a leg in every Novice class but weavers. He also finished his Outstanding Novice Touch N Go title with 20pts. Earned 15 regular points, 10 jumpers points, 10 chances points in addition. He had previously earned his Novice Tunnelers title."

October 25, 2006: Katrin reports: "Niche and I had a blast at the fun field day!!! Thanks to NEFCRC for holding it! It was our 1st field event ever and we placed 2nd in USS A! I was amazed! It was so much fun watching all of the flat-coats having a great time and doing what they were bred to do."

November, 2006: Katrin and Niche come to visit. Some pictures in the snow! And Niche plays with his brother Skye a little later in the week (snow's gone).

January 22, 2007: Niche earns his CDX. - Katrin reports: "Just like to brag that my little boy (only 2yrs old) Niche finished his CDX today at the Schenectady Dog Training Club Shows. Saturday he got a leg and 4th place and today he won the run off for 3rd and finished his title. He also got 2 Excellent Rally legs, both with 3rd places."

April 26, 2007: Niche earns his Can CD. - Katrin reports: "Niche went to Sherbrooke last weekend and started and finished our Canadian CD! He earned it with two 2nd places and a 3rd. It was fun to be back in the Novice ring once again!"

May 12, 2007; Niche earns his WC. - Katrin reports: "Today was the Yankee Golden Retriever Club WC/X test in West Thompson, CT. There were nearly as many flat coats as goldens and the black and brown dogs put on a great showing. Sam & Storm, Debra & Dan, Elaine & Mia all passed the WCX. Bob & Rukus and Niche & I passed the WC. There was also a steady and unsteady single stake that the flat coats did very well in (can't remember all the placements so won't try, but Niche & I placed 2nd in USS). And the fastest dog of the day in the scurry, much the the golden people's shargin was the Flat-Coat Mia run by Elaine!"
