2/19/05: Here are some pictures of Ellie just before her puppies were born.
There were 6 puppies born, 2 boys and 4 girls. All are black, but all carry the liver gene via Tanner. Sadly, we lost one of the girls on the second day due to a fatal birth defect.
2/20/05: Here are pictures of the puppies the day they were born. Nursing movies here, here and here.
3/15/05: These pictures were taken when the puppies were 23 days old. Eyes have been open for about a week.
3/16/05: The puppies have their first solid meal. Movies here, here, here, and here.
3/18/05: A new toy arrives.
3/21/05: Orange Boy sleeps funny. Actually this method of sleeping isn't that unusual for Flat-Coats. What do you bet he does it when he's older?
3/30/05: Risa checks out the puppies. And a movie!
4/13/05: Our first extended set of portraits: Red boy (Finn), Pink Girl (Emma), Orange Boy (Skipper), Purple Girl (Button), and Lavender Girl (Friday).
4/16/05: All puppies are in their new homes and are doing well. Congratulations to all!
